Shaw Industries is hiring an HR Representative to support our manufacturing operations in Chickamauga, GA. The HR department is a busy and fast-paced work environment with lots of opportunities to learn and grow. The HR Representative will have fun while working as part of a dynamic team of professionals. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Must be able to provide support to other facilities when needed.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information and perform other job duties as needed/assigned by management.
  • This position requires a high level of professionalism and the ability to effectively communicate with different levels of associates within the organization, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively through email, phone, and written correspondence.
  • Must be able to multitask, prioritize workload, meet critical deadlines, and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess outstanding team-building skills and the desire to work with people.
  • Must be able to work off-shift as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Human Resources Representative or Generalist experience.
  • Experience working with Workday, Kronos, Tracker.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous Human Resources experience.
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish (including proficiency in reading and writing - Specify on the resume).

Responsibilities

  • Assist associates with questions/concerns; serve on committees and assist the HR Manager with all associate relation functions.
  • Act as a liaison between HR, Plant management, and associates.
  • Maintain and process information in HR systems such as Workday related to new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations.
  • Maintain job bid system for the plant hourly associates.
  • Perform job and pay rate changes.
  • Be a contributing member of the interview teams for plant hourly positions.
  • Coordinate with the various Shaw departments that perform benefits changes, payroll issues, and leaves of absence.
  • Maintain personnel records and I-9's for all active/terminated associates; Assist in keeping the HR office in compliance with records retention policies and procedures.
  • Complete weekly/monthly reports for the HR manager and other reports as needed.
  • Responsible for being honest, showing integrity and passion for working with the associates.
  • Perform other duties as required.
