About The Position

The Human Resources Representative will support recruiting and talent retention efforts for Goodwill Industries in North Central Texas. This role involves advising hiring managers on agency policies, conducting pre-employment processing, delivering training, and acting as a point of contact for employee complaints. The representative will also coordinate investigations and assist in various HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of prior Human Resource-related experience is required.
• Master's Degree in HR can be accepted in lieu of experience.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in using MS Office and HRIS systems such as UKG.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work positively with individuals with barriers to employment.

Nice To Haves

• College degree in a related field is highly preferred.
• PHR/SHRM-CP certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise hiring managers on agency hiring policies and practices.
• Post job opportunities accurately and ensure timely approvals.
• Answer hiring manager questions related to recruiting and the UKG system.
• Implement effective recruiting strategies and outreach activities.
• Attend hiring events and job fairs to increase networking and placements.
• Perform pre-employment processing, including background checks and drug testing.
• Deliver in-person training to individuals and groups within the assigned work-group.
• Act as the first point of contact for receiving employee complaints and coordinate investigations.
• Review and revise written reprimands and coaching documentation with managers.
• Maintain spreadsheets and files related to compliance and HR functions.
• Drive the Agency van for HR business needs and assist in other HR functions.
