About The Position

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for an HR Professional within the School of Medicine Office of the Dean. This full-time, open-rank position will serve as a resource to Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs) throughout the School of Medicine. The HR Professional reviews and approves entries in the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) system, reviews and approves letters of offer and additional pay, provides consultation and training to HRBPs, and updates and maintains a variety of databases and other systems. The ideal candidate for this position will be a customer-service-driven individual who is ready to help create change and be part of a team of professionals dedicated to collaborative approaches, relationship building, and positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or another related field.
  • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional/professional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

  • Knowledge of professional standards, concepts, and practices related to human resources.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations to exercise good judgment in applying them to human resources challenges.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve a variety of entries and transactions in HCM.
  • Create and run a variety of reports.
  • Review and approve letters of offer.
  • Communicate and provide status updates to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Create transactions in HCM as necessary.
  • Review, process, and approve incentive and on-call payments.
  • Provide consultation, training, and guidance to HRBPs, school leaders, and employees.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete records ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and University laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with special projects and HR-related initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
