We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Human Resources Operations Coordinator. The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters). At 2.2 million square feet and 24 / 7 / 365 operations, the Morton Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center is the largest Caterpillar Distribution Center in the world. As a Human Resources Operations Coordinator, you will be able to directly impact both our people and business strategies and gain a deep understanding of the PSLD Aftermarket Parts business.

  • Contributing to Human Resource operational excellence by efficiently and accurately assisting in various HR processes related to employment compliance, payroll, absence management, time tracking, benefits administration, and employee data management.
  • Interpreting and communicating employee relations policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in the development of and implementation of specific procedures.
  • Providing an excellent service experience when executing employee-facing processes and assisting employees with personal or professional matters.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve the employee experience, quality, velocity, and/or cost of HR processes.
  • Onboarding production employees with New Hire Orientations and ensuring proper completion of all legally required forms.
  • Creating and executing communications on HR and Facility Operations related initiatives.
  • Acting as an advisor to senior management on communications and HR support.
  • Supporting, engaging in and coordinating employee initiatives and special events, while working with team members and leaders to proactively create, monitor and maintain a positive employee experience.
  • Tracking and reporting data to management on Human Resource metrics and measurements.
  • Ordering office supplies & employee recognition items while monitoring the budget, cost impact of errors, omissions and oversights.
  • Resolving & responding to adhoc customer requests and issues with a sense of urgency and positive action.
  • Administering Employee Insights survey for production employees.
  • Ability to use methods for identifying, evaluating, introducing, and implementing more efficient approaches to performing business related activities.
  • Ability to identify, capture and document relevant business information in an auditable, organized, understandable and easily retrievable manner.
  • Ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
  • Understands the necessity and value of accuracy and can complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's standards, procedures, and policies regarding human resource management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time and responsibilities.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates excellent relationship building, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Workday and/or PowerBi
  • Personal computer skills are required
