About The Position

Hyatt Centric Key West is seeking a dedicated and organized Human Resources & Operations Coordinator to join our resort team. The Hyatt Centric is centrally located within Old Town and a short stroll to the lively Duval Street. The ideal candidate will assist with essential HR functions, including Monday payroll processing, recruiting, onboarding new colleagues, maintaining accurate HR systems, conducting new hire orientation, and planning colleague events. Additionally, the Coordinator will support operational functions for Jala Spa and Four Flamingos, A Richard Blais Key West Kitchen, including marketing efforts, managing daily spa preparations, and driving revenue growth. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The HR & Operations Coordinator will help ensure the smooth operation of both HR and operational functions while contributing to fostering a positive workplace culture for all colleagues.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in human resources, marketing, or operations, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with payroll, colleague files, and marketing materials.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in HR systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and basic marketing tools (social media platforms, email marketing software).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • A positive caring attitude, warm smile, and the ability to contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll each Monday, ensuring all colleague hours are accurately recorded and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Assist with recruiting efforts by posting job openings, reviewing applications, conducting phone screenings, and scheduling interviews.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new colleagues, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientation, and ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and accurately entered into HR systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date colleague files in HR systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation sessions once per quarter, providing essential information to new colleagues about Hyatt's policies, benefits, and company culture.
  • Plan and execute various colleague events to promote engagement, recognition, and a positive work environment.
  • Use Hyatt's HR systems to manage colleague data, track performance, monitor compliance, and assist with reporting.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase spa visibility and revenue.
  • Oversee daily operations and preparation of the spa, ensuring all treatments, appointments, and client needs are met with excellence.
  • Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for increasing spa revenue through promotions, packages, and cross-selling with other hotel services.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the spa experience.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of marketing initiatives for Four Flamingos.
  • Support the restaurant in developing and maintaining its brand identity in the local community and beyond.
  • Assist in planning and promoting special events, menu launches, and promotions at Four Flamingos.
  • Provide administrative assistance for restaurant operations, including tracking inventory and processing orders.
