About The Position

The Human Resources Onboarding Supervisor for the 3rd shift at Pilgrim's is responsible for ensuring the safety and effective onboarding of new hires. The position emphasizes the importance of safety as a condition, with various measures in place to protect team members, especially in light of COVID-19. The supervisor will manage the onboarding experience from day one to the qualification of new hires, ensuring that all safety policies are adhered to and that new hires receive the necessary training and support.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED; Associates Degree or two years of college coursework in Communications, HR, or similar field preferred.
  • Bilingual is required.
  • Highly motivational and positive, considered a great people person.
  • Previous training experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in all duties of the specific department.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional communication and demeanor.
  • Ability to present ideas and concerns in a positive and professional manner.
  • Disciplined, confident, and self-starter.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Must be willing to work in a plant/industrial environment.
  • Must have a great attendance record and be in good standing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all safety policies and expectations are being met by new hires.
  • Manage the overall experience of new hires from day 1 to 60 days or until they become qualified.
  • Administer, track, and evaluate all new hire floor training.
  • Supervise and demonstrate hands-on training for new hires.
  • Develop and promote positive working relationships with new hires, peers, leaders, and clients.
  • Meet with supervisors, Human Resources, and coordinators to review production processes.
  • Participate on HR & company committees.
  • Fulfill key performance indicators related to retention and safety observations.
  • Observe and enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
  • Participate in process improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
