ROCKWOOL is seeking an HR Manager, based in Byhalia, MS, to join the North American Human Resources Team. This is an onsite, full time position that provides Human Resources Management services to all salaried and hourly employees at our Byhalia, MS manufacturing facility. Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a progressive human resources position.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience within a labor environment.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple projects within deadline.
  • High drive, commitment and self-motivation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with employment standards and maintain proper documentation for investigations.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to prepare, update, and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coach and train the factory management team and supervisors on policy implementation.
  • Source and provide salary data to attract and retain qualified staff.
  • Monitor and report on local hourly wage trends.
  • Support the Operations Director with job descriptions, performance evaluations, and salary reviews.
  • Partner with the Total Rewards Team to communicate benefits information to factory employees.
  • Manage short- and long-term disability claims with the Total Rewards Team.
  • Coordinate employee reimbursements for various programs.
  • Work with the Health & Safety Manager on Return to Work programs.
  • Develop and maintain a site manning plan.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to source candidates for factory roles.
  • Participate in candidate interviews and coach hiring managers on compliance.
  • Develop and facilitate orientation programs for new employees.
  • Support identification of internal candidates for promotion and advancement.
  • Determine training and development needs and assist in delivering training sessions.
  • Develop and maintain apprenticeship and co-op programs with local colleges.
  • Stay informed on current employment laws and update management on legislative changes.
  • Participate in internal communication meetings and ensure communication boards are current.
  • Lead the Performance Management program for indirect employees.
  • Support supervisors in executing performance management for direct employees.
  • Contribute to the coordination and content of bi-annual People Meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
