About The Position

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting employees, managers, and the leadership team with essential Human Resources needs. This includes recruiting, interviewing, and processing new hires, maintaining all employee records, administering benefits, processing payroll, ensuring compliance with all Federal and State employment guidelines, and ensuring the accuracy of company manuals, handbooks, and forms.

Requirements

  • Proficient skill using Microsoft Office Products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Knowledge in the use of office equipment; multi-line phone, copier, scanner, fax, etc.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
  • Proficient understanding of employment laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and the ability to apply them to the job.
  • Must have a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior HRIS systems experience.
  • HR Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy.
  • Provide support and guidance to management and staff on complex, specialized, and sensitive HR issues.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits and propose competitive pay programs.
  • Create learning and development programs for internal employee development.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and process employee paperwork through ADP Workforce Now.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations.
  • Administer company benefit programs including vacation, sick leave, 401k, health insurance, and the Wellness Program.
  • Process payroll through ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Process Worker's Compensation claims and complete monthly reporting.
  • Oversee employee housing applications and inspections.
  • Serve as a member of the Safety Committee and develop the safety program.
  • Administer Drug & Alcohol Policies.
  • Process Unemployment Claims and review quarterly statements.
  • Plan and implement company social events.
  • Support internal employee communications through social media.
  • Oversee and provide backup for Administrative Assistants.
