About The Position

The Human Resources Manager at Magna Steyr is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating HR programs and policies across various areas including staffing, training, performance management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations. This role ensures compliance with laws and regulations while fostering a positive work environment and supporting the organization's strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years of Human Resources experience, preferably in automotive/technology/manufacturing.
  • Minimum of two years in a management/leadership role with proven team leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience with Workday, Ceridian, and ADP E-Time preferred.
  • Previous experience in staffing, training, HR programs, performance management, and employee relations.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PeopleSoft).
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to perform work while sitting, standing, and moving around an office environment.
  • Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with the Magna Employee's Charter and applicable employment laws.
  • Develops and improves HR programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Formulates strategic plans for compensation and benefit programs.
  • Partners with leaders to enhance talent capability through development opportunities.
  • Oversees recruitment and training programs, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Facilitates the implementation and use of the Company's HRIS.
  • Administers personnel policies and conducts regular reviews of HR practices.
  • Trains managers on HR programs and performance reviews.
  • Prepares and delivers HR-related presentations for managers and associates.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics to develop HR solutions and policies.
  • Provides management guidance on employee development and performance management.
  • Maintains records related to salary, benefits, and personnel transactions.
  • Establishes programs to improve employee morale and productivity.
  • Manages Immigration and Global Mobility matters.
  • Leads talent review and succession planning processes.
  • Conducts responsibilities with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Supports employee engagement committees and initiatives.
  • Plans and presents HR updates at employee meetings.
  • Takes on special projects as assigned by management.
