About The Position

The Human Resources Manager position at Elk Grove Hampton Inn & Suites is a full-time hybrid role that oversees all HR functions across multiple properties, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The role requires balancing operational and human resources needs while driving corporate HR responsibilities and initiatives. The manager will spend 60-70% of their time supporting the Elk Grove Hampton Inn, Modesto Springhill Suites, and Ramada Reno, and 30-40% on large initiatives at the Holiday Inn Sacramento. Responsibilities include managing employee benefits, ensuring legal compliance, handling conflict resolution, and supporting various HR initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience as an HR leader with broad HR Generalist skills.
  • Working knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, COBRA, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in technology capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality experience.
  • Prior experience implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
  • HR Certification active or in process.
  • Workday Experience.
  • Bi-lingual.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Balance and prioritize operational and human resources needs across multiple properties.
  • Manage employee benefits, compensation structures, and HR policies.
  • Ensure legal compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Handle conflict resolution and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Support large initiatives at the Holiday Inn Sacramento.
  • Assist in CA Audit compliance.
  • Support HR team with onboarding, training, and townhalls.
  • Manage the LOA process, compliance, and tracking.
  • Track training and Worker's Compensation for all four hotels.
  • Conduct HR data audits and manage benefit eligibility letters.
