About The Position

The Human Resources Manager at the Central Arkansas Library System is responsible for overseeing the HR department, managing staff training, developing HR policies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or Public Administration.
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible HR experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the work of the CALS HR Department and train staff.
• Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
• Monitor HR annual budget and maintain department records and reports.
• Lead implementation of employee performance review system.
• Act as liaison for employees and Workers Compensation program.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Participate in staff meetings and assist with recruitment efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
