About The Position

The Human Resources Manager at The University of Vermont Health Network is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the HR function locally. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources with strong experience in labor relations.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred or attainment of certification within two years.
  • Workday experience a plus.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage local HR team and workflows.
  • Advise and train leaders in Human Resources best practices and strategies.
  • Support and conduct investigations regarding workplace issues.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure risk mitigation in workplace issues.
  • Provide labor relations support, including data gathering and analysis for RFIs and negotiation preparation.
  • Communicate with unions and track the grievance process.
  • Educate leadership about CBA management and act as an internal Labor Relations advisor.
  • Ensure all reporting and data requirements for the department are upheld and that HRIS data remains accurate.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in Union negotiations as part of the Steering Committee.
  • Oversee administration and maintenance of HR policy library and align with Network HR policies.
  • Coordinate with the talent acquisition team to support the PMC talent strategy.
  • Assist with compensation management, employee benefits, and performance evaluation processes.
  • Manage the annual employee evaluation process and lead HR team tasks.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to leaders and staff members.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence Teams for local support in various HR areas.
  • Oversee the HRIS function for the local HR department and ensure accurate information management.
  • Uphold confidentiality throughout all responsibilities of the position.
