About The Position

Crescent Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Human Resources Manager for the Westin Tempe. This role will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with the hotel's luxury service standards. This is an Overtime Eligible Manager (OEM) position. A Human Resources Manager takes part in servicing our guests around our beautiful Hotel and you'll be part of a great team of helpful people who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction. In the role of the Human Resources Manager, you will support the planning and execution of Human Resources programs such as recruitment, training, benefits, payroll and team member relations for hotel team members. This position plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Working knowledge of Federal and local regulations relating to OSHA and worker's compensation.
  • Thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures as well as considerable knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources matters.
  • Ability to effectively deal with associates and external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, resolve conflicts and collect accurate information.
  • Ability to travel to training sessions, hearings, etc.
  • Ability to supervise/direct both subordinate and non-subordinate personnel.
  • 3 years of HR experience , with minimum 1 year in a Human Resource Management role in the hospitality or related industry.
  • Proven advanced knowledge of employment laws.
  • Proven experience with UKG/UltiPro systems and payroll processing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration strongly preferred.
