About The Position

Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world! Responsibilities: Supporting the North American HR Function with the business goals of the organization. Supporting the overall North American strategy for the location Responsible for the compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matter Develops business partnership relationship with management and employees through expert counseling and support of the HR function. Creates environment to support the ongoing development of internal talent by identifying training needs, developing the knowledge and capabilities of all internal talent. Diagnoses organizational development needs, supports the implementation of effective solutions. Delivers employee relations counseling, new employee orientations, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews. Leads salary administration, special group projects and other generalist duties as required. Recommends, communicates and implements new approaches, policies, practices, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of services performed and resolution of problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with regulations or government law. Effectively communicates, establishes and maintains effective employee relations with all levels of management and employees. Demonstrates advanced competency for trouble-shooting and problem solving, and advanced customer and vendor/partner interface skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related area)
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal compliance requirements such as EEOC, NLRB, CRC, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.
  • Know-how and track record should have been gathered within a manufacturing environment, with at least 5+ years in automotive supplier companies.
  • Familiar in working across a multi-state environment.
  • Experience in developing and implementing up-to-date HR processes, methods, tools and principles to establish an HR area that adds value to the company.
  • Experienced in building partnerships across various functions and working in a collaborative manner, developing strong relationships with all stake holders.
  • Balance between operational and strategic tasks.
  • While having the ability to actively contribute to strategic plans, an open mind set, seeking new ways to do things and a pragmatic ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude is required.
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills.
  • The successful candidate works effectively through a complex matrix and is familiar with a global organization.
