At Career TEAM, we’re looking for an HR Manager who brings both strategy and heart — someone who can lead with empathy, think analytically, and drive innovation across our people operations. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll help shape the employee experience and streamline HR operations. The Role Reporting directly to our VP of HR, you’ll be a trusted partner to leadership and a champion for our teams. You’ll be an integral part of HR operations, with a special focus on Career TEAM’s North Central Texas operations in the following counties: Collin, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, and Wise. This hybrid role is primarily remote, with periodic travel to our local offices in the North Central Texas region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of HR management experience, preferably across multiple states
  • At least 3 years of experience handling employee relations and conflict resolution
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience developing and implementing HR policies and processes
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms (ADP or similar)
  • A hands-on, “get it done” mindset — you’re comfortable balancing strategy with execution

Responsibilities

  • Support People & Operations: Partner closely with the VP of HR and regional leadership to ensure smooth, compliant, and employee-friendly HR operations.
  • Be the go-to HR expert: Guide our HR Generalists, managers, and employees through complex HR issues, investigations, accommodations, and policy interpretation.
  • Drive Engagement: Implement initiatives that strengthen morale, retention, and teamwork across locations.
  • Maintain Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
  • Streamline Processes: Use HR systems and data to simplify workflows, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Coach & Communicate: Support managers through performance discussions, disciplinary actions, and employee development plans.
  • Analyze & Report: Track HR metrics such as turnover, engagement, and recruiting trends to inform decision-making.
  • Keep Us Current: Stay on top of emerging HR tools, employment laws, and technology innovations that make us more effective.
