About The Position

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager to be basedin our headquarters in Newport Beach, CA . The HR Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including compliance, onboarding, performance management, employee recognition & engagement, and employee relations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Able to effectively and comfortably communicate with employees at all levels within the firm.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and tasks successfully to completion.
  • Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Possess knowledge and familiarity with California and Federal Employment and Labor Laws
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment highly preferred.
  • Experience processing payroll, a plus.
  • Experience with Paychex a plus.
  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), conveys and manages various human resources policies, procedures, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Serve as primary HR contact for employees and managers on conduct, conflict, performance, and policy issues.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintaining Personnel files
  • Handling all leave of absence and accommodation requests
  • Processing and filing all employment change forms
  • Handling and resolving employee relations issues
  • Reviewing onboarding and termination processes on a regular basis and making changes, where necessary
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR legal trends and ensure the organization’s policies are current and legally compliant.
  • Manage confidential, sensitive HR matters with sound judgment and strong documentation practices (with assistant support).
  • Initiates and coordinates employee recognition programs and organizes employee events.
  • Oversees all onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of HR department and services performed.
  • Manages and administers all required training programs mandated by federal, state and local laws. (e.g., harassment training, workplace violence prevention training)
