About The Position

Sodexo Live's! Airport Lounge Segment is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team with our client Quantas Airlines for their lounges inside LAX in Los Angeles, CA. This Human Resources Manager will have an office onsite and will provide administrative HR support to the Sodexo food and beverage teams who operate the Quantas Airlines business and first class lounges within the airport. Role reports to a Human Resources Business Partner, and will work directly with on-site managers and a frontline staff of 150 - 200 employees.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is a team player, with high attention to detail, proactive mindset and has excellent communication & interpersonal skills to interact with employees and stakeholders.
  • Must have proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar role.
  • Understanding of federal labor laws.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year of HR experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or travel industry preferred.
  • Understanding and knowledge of union environments and labor relations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee airport badging process for new hires
  • Support new hire orientation facilitation, set-up and logistics
  • Onboarding
  • Run compliance reports
  • Maintain and distribute employee training/communications
  • Assist with career fairs and hiring events/recruitment
  • Share employee benefits information with new hires and direct them accordingly
  • Complete I-9 forms and other employee file documentation
  • Set up employee direct deposits
  • Engage with potential candidates and represent Sodexo as an employer of choice
  • Collect union statements/corrective actions for Senior Human Resources Manager
  • Address payroll issues as they arise.
  • Function as the HR liaison between operations and senior HR.
  • Complete other administrative projects as assigned.
