About The Position

Key responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager include HRIS administration, training, safety, audits/compliance, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, and employee development. This position will oversee and guide the positions of Sr. HR Generalist, HR Generalist, and HR Coordinator and foster a close working relationship with the Sr. Director of HR, helping to provide support within all levels of the department and achieve the strategic goals of the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline, PHR certification a plus
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a hands-on Human Resources role
  • Background in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge in Excel (v-lookups and pivot tables)
  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration/negotiation
  • Previous experience with HR systems (ex. Paylocity)
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all departments and with all levels of employees
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Must have a sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate

Nice To Haves

  • PHR certification a plus
  • Background in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Subject matter expert of the Human Resource Information System (Paylocity) –HR, benefits, performance management, and reporting
  • Conduct analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS).
  • Mentor and develop the Human Resources Team
  • Support all teams in developing and maintaining fair and consistent practices
  • Investigation/resolution of complaints and employee relation issues
  • Partner with team leaders to create development plans
  • Oversee the progressive discipline process within the organization
  • Responsible for the oversight of HR compliance audits – 401K, Worker’s Compensation, I9, etc.
  • Subject Expert on benefit plans offered by the organization
  • Oversee all Worker’s Compensation claims
  • Work closely with the Health and Safety Manager to evaluate safety concerns and continuous improvement
  • Understand and advise on OSHA compliance as it relates to Human Resources
  • Ensure compliance of recruiting process for all roles
  • Maintain up to date on status of full cycle recruiting
  • Assist in setting compensation targets for openings
  • Work with Team Leaders on promotions, transfers, etc.
  • Participate in the interviewing team for specified roles
  • Partner with the Sr. Director to achieve strategic goals and complete projects
  • Contribute to continuous improvement throughout the organization
  • Oversee the execution of all companywide events
  • Partner with accounting to support monthly / quarterly / year end reporting
