About The Position

The Human Resources Manager is the senior member of the Human Resources team and is responsible for the All Service Plastic Molding, Inc (ASPM) and Minco Tool and Mold Inc. locations. The Human Resources Manager provides overall leadership and drives all aspects of human resources from design through execution including: compliance, workforce planning, talent acquisition, orientation and onboarding, succession planning, employee relations, performance management, employee development, leadership development, compensation, benefits, discipline, communication, diversity, equity and inclusion, and employee engagement. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating practices and objectives that embodies a great, employee focused work culture.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or commensurate experience.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as an HR professional with progressive levels of responsibility.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to keep information confidential, build rapport and resolve conflict fairly and consistently.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-informed decision-making skills.
  • Autonomous, self-driven approach to responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborative mindset with aptitude for fostering organization relationships.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the organization’s workforce to best use employees’ talents.
  • Oversee the organization’s staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Be the link between the organization’s management and the employees.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits. Recommend compensation strategies for all employees based on market research and pay surveys.
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
  • Provide employee relations counseling and training to managers and supervisors consistent with company values, policies, and compliance with state and federal regulatory laws.
  • Serve as a consultant to managers on human resources issues and conflict to help bring them to an appropriate resolution.
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to the leadership team and the employees.
  • Ensure all company policies are applied consistently.
  • Develop, recommend, update, and implement personnel policies and procedures.
  • Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with company business initiatives.
  • Design and implement employee retention strategies.
  • Maintain HR systems and processes.
  • Provide support and guidance to HR staff.
  • Oversee employee benefits, compensation, performance appraisal, record keeping, unemployment claims, payroll, and HRIS.
  • Manage FMLA and workers’ compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment and labor laws.
  • Partner with staffing agencies and assist hiring managers to ensure staffing needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Promote positive employee relations by developing relationships built on trust and integrity.
