Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree
Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a management role
Extensive experience in the construction industry or related field
In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA

Responsibilities

Strategic HR Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Recruitment and Staffing: Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting to onboarding, ensuring we attract and retain top talent in the construction industry.
Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, mediating disputes, and promoting open communication.
Performance Management: Develop and manage performance evaluation systems, set performance standards, and provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues.
Training and Development: Identify training needs, design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and promote career growth within the organization.
Compensation and Benefits: Manage the company's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they remain competitive within the construction industry.
Policy Development and Compliance: Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Safety and Risk Management: Collaborate with the Safety Department to maintain a safe work environment and minimize workplace risks specific to the construction industry.
HRIS Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HR information systems to streamline HR processes and improve data accuracy.
Workforce Planning: Conduct workforce analyses and develop strategies to address staffing needs in line with project demands and company growth.
Labor Relations: Manage relationships with unions, if applicable, and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
Diversity and Inclusion: Develop and implement initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
HR Metrics and Reporting: Analyze HR data and prepare reports to guide decision-making and demonstrate the impact of HR initiatives on business outcomes.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the HR department budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
