About the position

The Human Resources Manager is an experienced leader who can manage all employee relations, performance management, benefits, and compensation thereby ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, including the Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug and Alcohol program. This role leads a team of talented Human Resource professionals. Greenpoint has around 400 employees and 200 contingent workers spread across three Washington sites (Marysville, Moses Lake and Bothell) and one Texas site (Denton). Greenpoint is opening a new site in San Antonio, TX in 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of Human Resource Services, enabling a new San Antonio site opening in 2025 and quickly growing to 110+ workers.
  • Develop and Implement HR Policies: Create and enforce HR policies and procedures that align with company goals and legal requirements.
  • Employee Relations including conducting investigations, mediating conflicts, terminations, ensuring compliance with State/Federal Regulations and Company Policies; and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Prepare for and participate in audits.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal systems including annual and mid-year reviews; provide feedback and coaching to employees.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with regulations.
  • Training and Development: Organize and conduct training programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including the DOT Drug and Alcohol program requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports on HR metrics such as employee turnover and absenteeism.
  • Keep management appropriately informed of Facility activities and of any significant/potential problems.
  • Understand and promote all health, safety and environmental legal and regulatory requirements including company policies and standards.
  • Lead by example, enforce and sustain a strong minded safety culture and compliance driven practices in the work environment.
  • Ensure all Statements of Process (SOPs) reflect best practices, are up to date and are utilized by Greenpoint.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned.
  • As the Designated Employee Representative, oversee the implementation and management of the DOT Drug and Alcohol program, ensuring compliance with Part 145 regulations.
  • Coordinate drug and alcohol testing for safety-sensitive employees, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, and return-to-duty testing.
  • Provide training for supervisors and employees on DOT drug and alcohol testing procedures and policies.
  • Maintain confidential records of all drug and alcohol testing results and related documentation.
  • Work with SAPs to facilitate the evaluation and treatment of employees who violate drug and alcohol policies.
  • Submit required reports to the DOT and other regulatory agencies as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of Human Resources related experience.
  • A preference for 3+ years in people management experience.
  • A preference for manufacturing environment, aerospace or DOT Drug & Alcohol program experience.
  • HR Certification preferred.

  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, when necessary.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
