As a Human Resources Manager at Levy, you will oversee the recruitment, training, and engagement of staff to create exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a dynamic HR professional who can act as both a subject matter expert and a strategic partner, influencing decisions at all levels of the organization.

  • Develop and implement recruitment/staffing plans in partnership with managers.
  • Serve as the ‘voice of the people' in senior leadership discussions.
  • Ensure timely completion of all Levy and legal standards, such as I9 documents.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Manage workforce planning to build capability and optimize performance.
  • Develop and support a retention strategy for specific partners.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation training for new team members.
  • Lead employee engagement and retention efforts at the location.
  • Coach team managers on business information and key performance levers.
  • Drive performance improvements using analysis and benchmarking.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of team member timesheets in the ‘MyStaff' system.
  • Ensure an efficient and welcoming employee check-in experience.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and deploy an employee engagement action plan.
  • Manage employee investigations and progressive discipline procedures.
  • Act as the primary contact for union representatives where applicable.
  • Educate and support managers in understanding the Collective Bargaining Agreement where applicable.
  • Ensure accuracy of team member information in the HRIS system.
  • Process unemployment claims in a timely manner.
  • Plan team activities to meet medium-term objectives.
  • Manage team member ‘Speak Up' and Grievance complaints.
  • Ensure completion of mandatory training, e.g., Preventing Workplace Harassment.
  • Work with leadership to define management succession plans and development.
  • Partner with department leaders to optimize flexible labor scheduling.
  • Contribute to sales activity for existing or new partners.
  • Support managers in employee investigations and corrective actions processes.
  • Analyze performance data to identify operational efficiencies.
  • Evaluate working practices to manage risks and drive compliance.
  • Shape and manage change and improvement programs.
  • Attend manager meetings to support overall management and governance of the location.
  • Deliver ongoing training and development to the on-site management team.
  • Partner with HR teams to develop joint strategies.
  • 2-3 years experience in Human Resource management.
  • Experience with high volume recruitment and/or seasonal employment is a plus.
  • Union knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience managing large scale projects.
  • High level of computer literacy (Excel, Smartsheets, Word, Microsoft Office, HRIS systems).
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with high volume recruitment and/or seasonal employment.
  • Union knowledge.
