About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • Six years of related HR experience, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws governing personnel and employment practices.
  • Experience in data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SHRM, or IPMA-HR certifications.
  • Direct experience in full cycle Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations.
  • Strong background in organizational development and employee development.
  • Prior public sector supervisory/managerial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes.
  • Manage employee relations and compliance.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts and strategic human resource management.
  • Work closely with leadership to build a healthy organizational culture.
  • Align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement standard operating practices and procedures.
  • Manage assigned budget and provide input to the annual budget process.
  • Investigate and respond to complaints from managers and employees.
  • Communicate project and program information to management and others.
  • Serve as a liaison and advisor within the department and between HR and other City departments.
