About The Position

The Human Resources Manager at Republic Services acts as a business partner to local management, overseeing the human resources function for assigned divisions. This role involves compliance with regulatory agencies, administration of staffing, training, employee relations, benefits, and compensation programs, while also implementing strategic HR initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager with involvement in all aspects of HR.
  • Ability to impact and influence all levels of the company.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide human resources advice and consultation to employees and management, including coaching on performance management and conflict resolution.
  • Implement and monitor company policies and programs in training, compensation, compliance, and benefits to attract and retain employees.
  • Oversee the recording and maintenance of employee information, including personal data, compensation, benefits, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with division operations and corporate HR staff regarding employment activities such as hiring and terminations.
  • Assist in conducting investigations regarding employee complaints and concerns.
  • Participate in management staff meetings and influence personnel-related decisions.
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs, including conducting new hire orientation and leadership sessions.
  • Perform HR-related audits for specific locations.
  • Implement succession planning and talent management plans.
