About The Position

The Human Resources Manager at Walden Security is responsible for planning and administering all policies related to Human Resources activities. This role involves overseeing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee training, compliance with regulations, and employee relations. The HR Manager will work closely with branch management to implement HR initiatives and ensure a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of human resources management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and HR systems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents and regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or SPHR certification.
  • Membership in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Responsibilities

  • Participates in companywide Human Resources initiatives and projects.
  • Maintains applicant flow and sourcing methods for hourly candidates.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation.
  • Schedules Initial Security Officer Training (ISOT) and Pre-Assignment Training for new hires.
  • Assists in administering additional branch training as needed.
  • Creates and enters new employee personnel information into the HRIS.
  • Assists in orientation to benefits programs such as life, health, dental, and disability insurances.
  • Ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations and company policies.
  • Advises management on employee relations issues and participates in disciplinary procedures.
  • Keeps records of personnel transactions for government reporting.
  • Records and tracks EEO data relative to new employee applicant flow data.
  • Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, and performance review.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding personnel policies and procedures.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and conducts exit interviews.
  • Prepares reports to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
  • Represents the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Oversees employee engagement activities such as luncheons and recognition events.
  • Coordinates recruitment efforts in the absence of the branch recruiter.
