We are seeking an experienced HR Manager - Union & In-Unit Expertise to join us at The University of Vermont in Burlington, VT. This is an on-site position, requiring your presence at the University to effectively manage HR operations for a large and diverse workforce. As the Human Resources Lead for a staff of 300+ full-time & part-time unionized hourly employees, 250+ student employees, and 20 full-time hourly management and/or support employees for University of Vermont Dining Services, you will work closely with an HR Coordinator and other administrative support staff to manage all HR functions. This includes union relations, recruitment, compliance, training, employee engagement, and much more. The ideal candidate will have union experience, particularly in CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement), as well as expertise in training, payroll, progressive discipline, and labor relations. Strong organizational skills, leadership, and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
