About The Position

Sodexo has an opportunity for an experienced human resources professional to join the team as a Human Resources Manager 3 at UTMB located in Galveston, TX. The HR Manager will provide generalist support to about 700 food service and environmental services (EVS) managers, supervisors, and frontline employees across 4 locations. This role will manage talent management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and compliance with a focus on initiatives to drive retention and employee engagement.

Requirements

• Extensive background in human resources management
• Understanding and respect for sensitive and confidential information
• Experience managing HR/Administrative support team members
• Excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Detail-oriented, flexible, and ability to manage competing priorities and meet time demands
• Excellent organization, communication, and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Sodexo's HR policies and procedures in alignment with hospital standards and contractual obligations
• Manage the recruitment process including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, healthcare regulations, and hospital policies
• Collaborate with department heads to assess staffing needs and workforce planning
• Support employee development initiatives and career progression opportunities
• Maintain accurate HR records and generate regular reports on workforce metrics
• Facilitate communication between hospital leadership and staff on HR matters
• Promote employee wellness, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
• Handle disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with legal and hospital standards
