About The Position

Human Resources Line Generalist We are seeking a versatile and proactive HR Generalist to support our operations as a Line HR representative at our Cookeville, TN site. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for HR functions within our facility, balancing daily tactical execution with the complexities of a unionized workforce. This role is critical for maintaining stable labor relations and supporting a high-volume manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Compiles and analyzes human resources process metrics, analyzes results and recommends improvements. Assists in resolution of conflicts and provides coaching and counseling on employment matters; conducts and documents investigations. Participates in performance management activities including employee development planning. Provides staffing and recruiting support; conducts work force data analysis. Facilitates compensation process and benefits administration by partnering with shared services and corporate human resources; develops and implements workforce compensation recommendations. Assists in managing administration of and adherence to human resources policies and procedures; advises on compliance with key legislative requirements. Coordinates training needs assessment and participates in training activities and special projects. Creates employment contracts as required by local law or practice. Ensures accuracy and completeness of workforce information in human resource information systems. Conducts Exempt, Office and Shop- New Hire Orientation. Administrative duties as necessary, Etime Oracle HCM and AskMe, Monitor, etc. Help employees and resolve issues FMLA, STD and LTD. Supports the interview process at the site. Support and resolve pay issues with Payroll Manager and payroll support team. Assist employees in Educational Assistance application of policy Qualifications Education College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required. Experience Union Experience: 3–5 years of HR experience if you have a background in a unionized environment. 10 years of HR experience if you do not have direct union experience. A solid foundation as an HR Generalist is required. Candidates from mid-to-large size companies are preferred. Negotiation: Proven ability to participate in or lead labor agreement discussions. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is highly preferred. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Base salary range: $67,371 - $101,057 Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
