About The Position

As Human Resources Leader you are an involved presence with associates and leaders, contributing to the success of our business every day. You are an integral member of the site Talent Management Team, supported by the larger Plastipak HR network.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • A minimum of four (4) years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing facility with recruiting, employee engagement, performance management & HR program administration
  • Broad-based knowledge of federal & state legal/regulatory landscape (FLSA, EEO, wage & hour, etc.)
  • Technical proficiency, with a working knowledge of HR platforms (we use Workday, Kronos & SAP)
  • Flexibility to support a 24-7 workforce
  • Ability to thrive in a lively environment where Associates come first

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP certification
  • Past experience with health & safety

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent HR program delivery (recruiting, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, talent development, etc.)
  • Serve as the local recruiter, representing Plastipak as an employer of choice within the community to local schools and vocational programs
  • Foster positive relationships and candidate pools
  • Serve as the site resource for Associate benefits programs, facilitating Open Enrollment, promoting wellness plans and providing general guidance
  • Provide HR support to supervisors and managers, fostering high-performing teams and consistent alignment with Plastipak employment practices, policies and procedures
  • Administer HR functions, such as time & attendance, new hire onboarding, job changes, LOA, etc.
  • Uphold legal and regulatory compliance, as well as adherence to Plastipak policies
  • Lead planning & executing of employee engagement events and other activities
