For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Human Resources Intern to join the 2026 Summer Internship class. The Human Resources Intern will support the Global People Support team, which is responsible for managing global compensation and benefits, employment policies, global mobility, global information systems, and HR metrics and analytics. The Human Resources Operations team ensures seamless HR operations, supports mission-driven projects, and drives innovative solutions to enhance productivity and support IJM’s people. The Human Resources Intern will gain hands-on experience and relevant professional experience in the field. This position can be fully in-person or hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Global Director, HR Operations. The position requires 20-40 hours per week, primarily during the hours of 8:30am-5:30pm EST. Summer internship program dates are June 1 – Aug. 7, 2026. Application Deadline: Dec. 31, 2025. Candidate communication will begin in early January.
