About The Position

Blue Cross Blues Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS) is offering two (2) outstanding internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students with a strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources, allowing you to test your abilities and further explore your career interests. Requirements

• Currently enrolled student at a four-year university in an undergraduate or graduate program with an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
• If in an undergraduate program, the student must be a junior or senior.
• Area of study must be related to Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Communication, or Social Sciences.
• Strong organization and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Problem-solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the internship.
• Strong PC skills (Windows operating system, e-mail, HRIS, internet browsing, and research).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
• Team player who can work with multiple departments.
• Self-motivated and able to carry out activities with a minimum of supervision.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with an HR team member and be an active member of the team.
• Complete and deliver projects crafted to provide operational experience and an overview of the HR function by the end of the internship.
• Contribute to various HR concentrations such as Recruitment, Employee Relations, Job Architecture, Career Development, Total Rewards, and other HR-related areas as needed.
• Gain knowledge of and collaborate with Human Resources and other business professionals throughout the internship.
