CRST has an exciting opportunity for you to join our Early Talent Program within our summer internship program as Human Resources Intern within our Human Resources Department. CRST's Human Resources team serves Team CRST nationwide by offering the resources employees need to thrive. HR focus areas include employee relations, corporate recruiting, employee payroll, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and benefits. The HR Intern provides hands-on experience across HR functions with a strong focus on talent acquisition, analytics, and process improvement. This role supports projects in recruiting, compensation, operations, and general HR while contributing to a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a business-related 4-year bachelor's degree from accredited university.
  • Sophomore - Junior-level college student pursuing a degree within Business, Management, Marketing, Human Resources, or a similar field.
  • Minimum 2.5 or above GPA.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and loyalty.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with high personal motivation and desire to take initiative and ownership and think one step ahead.
  • Handles confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Prior coursework, internship, or work experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve effectively.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Basic oral and written communication skills.
  • Maximizes relationships, fosters collaboration, and builds trust.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with sourcing, prescreens, interview scheduling, and candidate assessments while helping to attract quality hires.
  • Prepare new hire packets, support onboarding processes, and maintain accurate HR documentation.
  • Contribute to documenting HR processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and implementing improvements.
  • Assist with HR reporting, analytics, and insights to inform decision-making and support leadership priorities.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR leaders to strengthen relationships and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Support initiatives that improve communication, responsiveness, and overall experience during the hiring process.
  • Participate in projects across HR functions including compensation, operations, and organizational leadership exposure.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance while performing other duties as assigned to support team and business needs.
  • Exposure to Senior Leaders across the business with the opportunity to connect and grow your network.
  • Hands on projects related to your major.
  • Personal and professional development opportunities.
  • Connection to the community in which you are working.
  • Present a capstone to Senior Business Leaders at the conclusion of the 8-week period.
