About The Position

The HR Generalist plays a critical role in supporting managers and employees while strengthening the company’s people practices. This role is designed to be a high-touch HR partner to the business, with focus on performance management, talent programs, employee experience, and administration. The HR Generalist partners closely with leaders to translate business strategy into effective people initiatives, supports managers across the employee lifecycle, and builds consistent, repeatable, and data-informed HR programs and processes. This role reports to the Chief of Staff to the CEO and works in close partnership with Finance and Legal when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
  • 3–5 years of progressive human resources experience; well-suited for a professional ready to step into a broader, more visible role.
  • Strong experience with HRIS platforms (ADP preferred) and intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong active listening capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, foster relationships, and effectively partner with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven self-starter who is adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and execution skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and integrity.
  • Comfortable operating in complex, evolving, and occasionally ambiguous environments.
  • Agile, collaborative mindset with the ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholder groups.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day HR partner to managers and employees
  • Support employee relations matters
  • Own and continuously improve performance management programs and processes
  • Partner with leaders on talent development, engagement initiatives, and workforce planning
  • Support recruiting and onboarding experiences in partnership with hiring managers
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking and analysis to support competitive and equitable pay practices
  • Support annual compensation planning
  • Analyze people data and provide insights and recommendations to leaders
  • Design, document, and continuously improve core HR programs and processes
  • Lead the annual employee handbook review and policy updates in close collaboration with Finance and Legal
  • Support change management related to organizational growth or evolving business needs
  • Own HRIS system management end to end (excluding payroll processing)
  • Manage open enrollment process and on-going benefits administration
  • Coordinate immigration process with external experts
  • Coordinate with the external payroll team on employee life cycle, benefits, comp, and other changes that impact payroll
  • Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
  • Support special HR projects as assigned
