About the position

The Human Resources Generalist will support HR initiatives, hiring needs, and talent acquisition for a client in Chehalis, WA. This temporary position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in human resources to effectively manage employee relations, recruitment, and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and deliver solutions to support decisions related to talent, recruitment, employee relations, and compensation.
• Collaborate with team members to communicate and implement HR strategies.
• Interview and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions and coordinate new hire orientation.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations to ensure compliance.
• Work with leaders to maintain time and attendance, discipline, and personnel records.
• Respond timely to employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, compensation, policies, and procedures.
• Analyze, evaluate, and present data results to relevant managers and advise on changes and/or improvements.
• Possess initiative to improve processes and have a customer service-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrate ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential information.
• Support adherence to safety programs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Human Resources experience including talent acquisition, employee relations, and benefits.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong skills in using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems.

Nice-to-haves

• PHR certification preferred.
