About The Position

Advancing Communities Everywhere is seeking a Human Resources Manager to provide administrative support and HR services to office personnel and community-based mental health services. The role involves managing employee benefits, overseeing hiring practices, and ensuring compliance with workplace policies. The HR Manager will interact with all staff levels to promote employee well-being, address workplace conflicts, and facilitate professional development through training programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business, Administration, or a related field
• 3 or more years of office administration experience
• PHR certification
• Experience in Human Services or Counseling (preferred)
• Virginia Board of Counseling certification as a QMHP-Type (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills

Nice To Haves

• CPR (Adult and Child) Certification (preferred)
• Therapeutic Options of Virginia (TOVA) Certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Oversee employee performance and collaborate with management to evaluate underperforming employees
• Maintain employee records and update as needed (Onboarding, and Annually)
• Facilitate communication between management/department heads and employees
• Onboarding and Training of New Employees
• Interviewing and Maintaining Hiring policies for New Employees
• Conduct Background Checks and Employee Verification Checks
