As the Human Resources Generalist at OuterBox, you will be responsible for supporting the People Team with a wide range of operational areas, including employee relations, employee engagement, benefits, and compliance. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Ability to contribute to HR strategy, along with effective leadership and change management skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for team member inquiries and clarification, identifying opportunities to support and assist the team, while also recognizing when concerns or issues need to be escalated to the Group Director, People.
  • Administer benefit programs, including enrollments and terminations, qualifying life events, and leaves of absence to ensure effective guidance is provided to employees and compliance is maintained; support annual open enrollment events.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding processes, including involuntary termination meetings.
  • Maintain HR records, ensuring accuracy while maintaining appropriate data security and confidentiality.
  • Assist with the integration of the HR functions during company acquisitions, including employee records, handbooks, benefits, and processes.
  • Deliver human resource services to support the overall business goals; work closely with the Group Director, People, to foster a positive work environment, drive employee engagement, and support organizational growth.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to company HR policies and procedures and all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain proficiency in all applicable current employment laws.
  • Serve as an effective liaison between team members and the leadership team to ensure the organization’s vision, mission, and goal alignment are aligned.
  • Facilitate a positive and inclusive workplace by encouraging open communication, teamwork, and mutual respect.
  • Support grievance, conflict, and performance management processes in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Champion employee engagement through organization-wide communication initiatives and feedback channels, ensuring that employees feel heard and are provided with clear, consistent, and effective messaging.
  • Provide support to the Group Director, People, regarding ad hoc data, analysis, special projects, and reporting needs.
  • Additional duties, as assigned.
