About The Position

The position provides comprehensive support for a variety of Human Resources functions, including high-volume data entry, personnel file management and transfers, compensation adjustments, verification of experience, customer service and general support. This position will be reviewed annually to determine continuation. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience performing accurate, high volume: data entry, auditing and reporting.
  • Prior work experience in a fast paced, high volume administrative or operational environment.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to Human Resources.
  • Ability to perform all duties in accordance with applicable Board policies and District and legal requirements.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to demonstrate multicultural sensitivity and work effectively and collaboratively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, links, graphs, and charts.
  • Strong computer skills, including effective use of Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Ability to communicate technical and procedural information clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Ensures consistent, professional, and clear messaging in all interactions.
  • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates effective customer service skills, including sensitivity to employee needs and the ability to assist in de-escalating situations with distraught staff members when necessary.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet inflexible deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and completion of work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Experience supporting or participating in HRIS implementation projects in WA.
  • Familiarity with OSPI systems, processes, or reporting requirements.
  • Has familiarity with public education, transcripts and credits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high volume data-entry related to HRIS implementation, personnel data, project agreements, stipends, and temporary hourly assignments.
  • Enter a variety of payroll related data with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including clock hour portal submissions, certification credential tracking, and years of service documentation.
  • Assist with required audit functions, including verifying contracts and assignment confirmations through PowerSchool Records.
  • Complete employment verifications and process file transfers for current and former employees.
  • Communicate new hire, resignation, retirement, leave, and assignment change information to budget, payroll, and information systems teams.
  • Deliver clear and engaging presentations—both in person and remotely—on generic topics such as employee salary placement and certification requirements.
  • Respond to routine inquiries and concerns, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Provide backup receptionist coverage, including answering phones and greeting visitors.
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
  • Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
