About The Position

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a 4‑month contract supporting day‑to‑day HR operations across multiple locations. This role is hands‑on and employee‑facing, with a focus on onboarding, workers’ compensation, and HR support. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and experienced with Paylocity.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of HR Generalist or advanced HR Coordinator experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Paylocity (onboarding, workflows, time/labor).
  • Experience with workers' compensation, I‑9, FLSA, and OSHA basics.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables preferred) and Word.
  • Experience with LOA and benefits administration.
  • Strong communication, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle onboarding and ensure timely completion of new hire documentation.
  • Process I‑9s, E‑Verify, tax forms, and direct deposit setup.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment and system access.
  • Conduct new hire orientation (virtual or in-person).
  • Track onboarding tasks and maintain accurate employee files.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all workers’ compensation claims.
  • File First Reports of Injury (FROI) and track claim progress.
  • Coordinate with carriers, adjusters, and leadership.
  • Manage return‑to‑work processes and modified duty assignments.
  • Update OSHA logs and ensure compliance.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, payroll, PTO, and timekeeping.
  • Support leaders with employee relations documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records in Paylocity.
  • Assist with payroll audits and discrepancy resolution.
  • Support LOA administration, benefits tasks, LMS, and HR reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
