As an HR Generalist at Illuminate USA, you’ll play a key role in fostering a positive and supportive work environment. You’ll collaborate closely with managers and associates to address day-to-day HR needs, resolve associate concerns, and ensure clarity around company policies. This role is all about being approachable, resourceful, and proactive, helping us maintain a strong, engaged workforce as we continue to grow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of HR generalist experience with a focus on associate relations and compliance.
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and HR procedures.
  • Ability to work night shifts and effectively support HR operations during those hours.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing associate concerns.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday HRIS or other HR systems.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, union environment, or industrial environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted HR point of contact for night shift associates and supervisors, offering guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support associate relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Assist managers with employment law compliance, performance management, coaching, and progressive discipline.
  • Conduct and document associate investigations to ensure fair and consistent treatment.
  • Administer HR programs related to benefits, leave management, and associate wellness.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding, training sessions, and policy updates to keep associates well-informed.
  • Assist with data entry and reporting for HR metrics to support business objectives.
  • Facilitate the administration of workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and leaves of absence.
  • Act as a resource for associates, addressing inquiries related to benefits, policies, and HR procedures.
