About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist at Fincantieri Marinette Marine will provide comprehensive HR support to the Director and/or Manager of Human Resources. This role involves managing recruitment efforts, leading HR projects, and delivering functional support across various HR activities including policy administration, labor relations, and employee training. The HR Generalist will act as an employee advocate and business driver within a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in human resources or related field.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and employee relations.
  • Ability to conduct investigations and analyze data effectively.
  • Knowledge of labor law and employment law compliance.
  • Experience in training and development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a shipyard or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with HR software and tools.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SPHR).

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruiting for assigned hourly, non-exempt, and temporary positions.
  • Post jobs to build candidate pool, review resumes, interview candidates, and create final approved offers.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, business communications, data summaries, and other documents.
  • Perform moderately complex analyses of data to draw inferences or conclusions.
  • Take a lead role in employee relations, including gathering data, conducting investigations, and reporting findings.
  • Develop and institute HR best practices for the department's policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Support inquiries related to benefits, retirement, compensation, etc.
  • Lead routine HR projects including communications, conducting meetings, tracking results, and KPI reporting.
  • Lead improvement initiatives at the business unit level.
  • Administer and interpret company policies and assist the HR Manager in employment issues and compliance investigations.
  • Conduct new employee orientation sessions and other HR-related management development training sessions.
  • Oversee Performance Management and assist Senior Leaders with the program.
