The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting the organization by providing guidance and HR expertise to employees and management based remotely in the US and Canada. This role is responsible for supporting the continued automation and enhancements of HR related systems and processes. The position will provide support in the areas of recruiting and onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, federal and state labor law compliance, talent management, as well as maintenance of our employee personnel data. The position serves as the subject matter expert on the organization's Human Capital Management/Human Resources Information System. Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities include conducting new hire orientation for all Field Leadership and HQ employees, overseeing high volume recruitment of hourly club staff, and developing new and creative ways to attract and retain talent. The HR Generalist will support and lead ongoing initiatives geared toward strengthening our HR infrastructure through continued automation, system enhancements, and the implementation and maintenance of new and existing integrations with various HR systems. Additionally, the role involves administering numerous HR plans and procedures for all organization personnel, advising and counseling management on employee relations, retention, performance management, policy interpretation, and labor laws. The HR Generalist will also lead annual compliance month efforts for the organization, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. They will support the annual performance management process, assist in the administration of benefit plans and the open enrollment process, maintain HRIS records, and compile reports from the database. Participation in various projects related to the HR needs of the business and HR efficiencies is also expected, along with performing other related duties and ad hoc projects as required.
