About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist at Southern Indian Health Council, Inc. serves as the primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and is responsible for the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This includes managing the hiring and interviewing processes, administering employee pay, benefits, and leave, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The HR Generalist plays a crucial role in onboarding new hires, educating them about the organization's mission, vision, values, and policies, and providing general administrative support to the HR department. In this role, the HR Generalist will utilize Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) to maintain up-to-date and confidential employee records. They will assist employees with various HR-related topics, such as leaves and compensation, and resolve any issues that may arise. The HR Generalist will also respond to external inquiries related to employment verifications and job applications, and assist in the development and implementation of HR policies. The position requires gathering and analyzing HR metrics, assisting with open enrollments for employee benefits programs, and maintaining personnel files in compliance with legal requirements. The HR Generalist will conduct background checks, coordinate recruiting logistics, draft correspondence related to employee needs, and conduct employee onboarding and orientations. Additionally, they will track annual training requirements, assist with audits, and maintain job description repositories. The HR Generalist will also participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, maintain compliance with AAAHC accreditation standards, and assist with various HR events and meetings.
