About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist / Safety Coordinator supports daily human resources operations and oversees workplace safety programs. This role handles employee relations, hiring support, benefits administration, and ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The position works closely with managers and employees to maintain a safe, productive, and positive work environment.

Requirements

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of HR and/or safety experience preferred
• Knowledge of employment laws and workplace safety standards
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation
• Administer benefits and answer employee questions regarding pay, policies, and procedures
• Support performance management and employee development processes
• Assist with employee relations issues and conflict resolution
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Help develop and update company policies and employee handbook
• Other duties as assigned
• Coordinate and monitor workplace safety programs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations
• Conduct safety training for employees
• Conduct Safety Inspections/walks
• Lead safety meetings and maintain safety records
• Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions
• Conduct regular facility safety inspections
• Track and report safety metrics
• Other duties as assigned
