About The Position

The HR Generalist at Hackensack Meridian Health plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of HR services, programs, and initiatives within assigned business units. This position focuses on team member and labor relations, performance management, leader development, engagement, compensation, benefits, wellness, talent acquisition, and workforce planning. The HR Generalist is responsible for addressing workplace issues, providing HR guidance, and ensuring compliance with policies and laws, all while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and a positive team member experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related HR, administrative, or customer service experience.
  • Solid working knowledge of employee relations, talent management, and legal compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite or MS-Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or Business.
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar HRIS system.
  • HR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of all HR programs and initiatives within assigned business units.
  • Consult, train, and provide administrative follow-up as necessary for HR initiatives.
  • Coach and counsel frontline leadership on team member and labor relations issues.
  • Educate leaders and team members on navigating HR systems and interpreting HR policies.
  • Participate in positive team member relations programs to enhance engagement.
  • Support internal workplace investigations and grievance processes.
  • Gather and review HR metrics and prepare related reports and presentations.
  • Support local compliance initiatives and track training and vaccination compliance.
  • Participate in onboarding and facility orientation programs.
  • Handle moderately complex HR issues and maintain documentation.
