About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting the overall People practices within the organization. The position involves a combination of work around Recruiting, Onboarding, Wellness Programming Administration and Communications specific to Employee Engagement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of HR-related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Communications, or related field preferred: an AA degree combined with relevant HR experience will also be considered.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, Adobe and Canva (or similar graphic design tools).
  • Process and systems thinking and an ability to learn the HCM platform (Paylocity); prior experience with any HCM platform is necessary.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a strong team player on a small, but mighty team.
  • Strong project management skills including; the ability to break every project up into tasks and visualize a timeline for success and leverage research and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with management to understand and support their recruiting needs.
  • Sources talent, manages the interview process, and maintains accurate candidate records.
  • Stays current on recruitment trends and talent pipelines in our industry.
  • Reviews applicants and conducts pre-screening interviews for assigned positions.
  • Administers the onboarding process and provides support to new hires throughout.
  • Enters employee data within our HCM system and ensures accurate information is maintained.
  • Conducts follow-ups with new hires during their first 90 days, to support assimilation into the organization and gather insights for continuous improvement.
  • Partners with the Operations/Benefits team in the development of a wellness plan, budget, policies, and procedures relevant to the operation of the wellness program.
  • Exudes excitement and motivation in support of employee wellness to engage both on-site, remote and variable shift workforce.
  • Leads the execution, coordination and facilitation of wellness activities and programming for employees.
  • Develops communications to promote wellness and fitness programs throughout the organization.
  • Compiles data and creates summaries of participant data, class attendance, and inventories tools to ensure proper detailed program evaluation.
  • Responds to employee inquiries and concerns, providing information on policies.
  • Drafts and supports internal communications for the Employee Success Team, Sr. HR Operations Manager and the VP of HR.
  • Collaborates with Payroll, Rewards & Recognition Coordinator on maintenance of employee files and employee status changes to ensure an accurate and timely payroll.
  • Serves as backup to the Payroll Coordinator and Benefits Administrator, supporting cross-training and departmental flexibility.
  • Develops HR dashboards and complete various external reports.
  • Maintains current knowledge of employment practices and evaluates existing HR policies, procedures, processes, and programs for effectiveness, and makes recommendations for changes as appropriate.
