About The Position

The HR Generalist 4 at NuScale Power, LLC is responsible for providing expert-level guidance on various HR-related issues, including compliance with federal and state employment laws, benefits administration, employee relations, and talent acquisition. This role requires independent problem-solving skills to address complex HR challenges with minimal supervision from senior leadership.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a B.S. degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience as a corporate HR generalist in employee relations, talent management, benefits administration, compensation, and training.
  • Strong communication, computer, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage high volume with competing demands.
  • In-depth knowledge of Human Capital Management systems and state and federal HR laws.
  • Experience in resolving complex HR issues and responding to employee concerns.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Human Resources professional is preferred.
  • Public company experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor HR inbox and respond to employee inquiries and employment verifications daily.
  • Administer performance matters and action plans.
  • Guide managers on the disciplinary process and performance continuum.
  • Provide resources and training recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for conducting investigations into employee conduct and performance.
  • Gather evidence and information related to employee concerns.
  • Analyze data to identify patterns or discrepancies indicating misconduct or performance issues.
  • Carry out disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Interpret and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Track and monitor updates on federal and state employment laws.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on employment matters and finalize the Employee Handbook.
  • Develop and deliver training on HR initiatives, including employment law and performance management.
  • Support talent management initiatives, including onboarding and integration of new employees.
  • Administer leave requests and accommodations under FMLA/OFLA and other laws.
  • Provide backup support for workers' compensation and ADA accommodations.
  • Mentor junior HR staff and share legal knowledge.
  • Review employment law updates and inform HR leadership of necessary changes.
  • Provide HR statistical data for internal audits and standard reports.
