The HR Generalist 2 coordinates and administers a variety of programs covering multiple HR activities. With direct supervision by HR Management or Senior HR professionals, this role will provide operational support and assist in coordinating or administering various aspects of the organization's on-boarding program and special projects.

  • Work closely with HR leadership to determine project scope and direction
  • Collect and input data into HR systems
  • Report on project status to stakeholders
  • Complete employment offers and work closely with new employees through the orientation and on-boarding process
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from candidates and employees, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR partner
  • Handle confidential information with utmost integrity
  • Collaborate with HR partners at different Cook companies
  • Maintain a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve department effectiveness and efficiency
  • Process reports and maintain records as needed
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings/trainings
  • Train and mentor other HR Generalists as required
  • Work independently and make sound decisions
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
  • Interact effectively and professionally with various levels of the global organization
  • Adhere to safety requirements
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Maintain company quality and quantity standards
  • Demonstrate effective oral, written and presentation communication skills
  • Work in collaborative and independent work situations with minimal supervision

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 2 - 5 years minimum relevant experience
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience performing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction/supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge in a specialized area of Human Resources
  • Significant focus on recruiting efforts
  • Experience collaborating with leadership to understand qualifications and competencies for open positions
