About The Position

As a Human Resources Expert at Target, you will be part of a team that champions change and builds diverse and inclusive talent strategies. Your role will involve supporting teams and leaders to create a sales force that is passionate about exceeding guests' expectations. You will gain knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law, experience with Office Suite and workforce management programs, and industry-leading people and scheduling software. A typical day will include creating a welcoming experience for guests, engaging with them to understand their needs, and working with HR leaders to address talent and staffing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact
  • Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their specific needs
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store
  • Thank the guest in a genuine way and let them know we're happy they chose to shop at Target
  • Know the store sales goals and trends impacting business results
  • Work with HR leader to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs
  • Execute intentional recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire talent
  • Support the training needs of the store's sales force
  • Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices
  • Act as an open door by listening to team members and collaborating with leaders
  • Deliver on all Human Resources operational and cyclical programs
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and comply with safety policies
  • Perform all other duties based on business needs
