About The Position

The Human Resources Expert role is part of a Human Resource (HR) team committed to supporting teams and leaders to build a sales force passionate about exceeding guests’ expectations and creating a workplace where teams love to work. This position champions change, proactively removes roadblocks, and builds diverse and inclusive talent strategies to deliver on a guest-centric mission. Target believes in providing team members with meaningful experiences to build and develop skills for a career. The role offers experience in understanding federal, state, and local employment laws, using basic Microsoft Office Suite computer and workforce management programs, and effectively using scheduling software. The position involves creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by greeting guests, helping them find what they need, resolving issues, and ending transactions with a sincere thank you. It also requires actively supporting team efforts, assisting peers, and adjusting to business and guest needs.

• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: Greet: 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave 4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
• Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs for each area of the business; this includes understanding guests’ needs and ensuring the right mix of experience and skills to deliver on the in-store and digital shopping experiences.
• Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates.
• Support team member and leader training needs and be an advocate for continuous learning.
• Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
• Be approachable and available by listening to team members and collaborate with appropriate leaders to take action as needed.
• Deliver on all Human Resources processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption.
• Support your leader in following company compliance policies that mitigate risk to the team member experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• All other duties based on business needs.
