The Human Resources Director at HUB International will act as a strategic partner and thought leader, driving human resources goals and programs to enhance business results. This role involves managing HR operations for the Gulf South region, which includes overseeing a team of HR professionals and implementing talent acquisition, retention strategies, and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will foster relationships within client groups and champion diversity and inclusion efforts while ensuring alignment with regional business objectives.

  • Serve as the overall HR leader for HUB Gulf South, managing HR operations for 700-900 employees across several states.
  • Lead a team of HR professionals including HRBPs, HR Generalists, and HRIS.
  • Accountable for talent acquisition and retention strategies, talent development initiatives, and employee engagement programs.
  • Deliver effective due diligence, onboarding, and acquisition integration efforts in partnership with regional acquisition teams.
  • Support leaders in enhancing employee engagement and creating a positive workplace culture.
  • Build and drive an employee value proposition to foster accountability and collaboration.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and anticipate business needs to provide HR solutions.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion efforts, leading the regional D&I Council.
  • Oversee the talent management process, including performance management and succession planning.
  • Implement a region-wide communication strategy to support employee engagement.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR management, business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • 10-13+ years of experience in a senior HRBP capacity, preferably in an insurance brokerage firm.
  • Advanced degree/MBA preferred and SPHR/SHRM-SCP is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and influence skills, including negotiation and expectations management.
  • Experience in pre-IPO due diligence is preferred.
  • Well-developed critical thinking and analytical abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Experience with Workday and Kronos HR systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel.
